The Gang
Noxi
Noxi is... A Draenai Shaman. Ballsy, Brash and doesn't tolerate fools easily (which kinda makes you wonder how Fecker is still around) Noxi used to be a Tauren Female named Níca but was put through a faction change which not only changed her look to a sexy Draenai, but also her personality. While Noxi is fierce and determined, when it comes to her friends and those close to her, she has kept the altruistic nature which Níca possessed.
Among Noxi's closest companions are Fecker and her spiritual guide Silka who although a spirit has a physical form. (See below)

Fecker
A seldom played Alt Rogue. Noxi's best friend and constant companion. Fecker was born to a mother who was a Dwarf and a Father who was a Gnome, which explains his peculiar height. Ever resourceful, Fecker is the 'go to' guy for anything that any of his friends need and while this is a very useful asset, some of the deals that he makes can land him in varying degrees of trouble.
Generally the 'happy go lucky' sort of guy and always on stand-by with a joke or a one liner to either cheer everyone up or diffuse potentially volatile situations. Fiercely loyal to the end and more than happy and willing to do pretty much anything that is asked of him by any of his friends.

Kryptíkk & Braewynn
Kryptíkk and Braewynn are identical twins. Both of them are Night Elf Priests, but that is where their similarity ends.
Braewynn could be described as a happy-go-lucky (read: Blonde air head) cheerful type. Always ready with a smile and a giggle and leans towards looking at the positive aspects of everything Kryptíkk on the other hand is a much darker personality (as is demonstrated in her choice of clothing) wary of others and always plotting a way of getting one-up on those she sees as competition, while Braewynn will bring cupcakes to a rival as a peace offering, Kryptíkk will happily put poison in them if she feels you have wronged her.

Aedonix
Aedonix is The Humanoid form of Syrox, brother of Silka. Aedonix chooses to mostly use his humanoid form (A male Worgen) over his dragon one as the inhabitants of Azeroth fascinate him, but tend to be rather fearful of his dragon form as it is very large and very imposing. Aedonix enjoys nothing more than mixing with the locals, learning their customs and sharing their lives in what ever way he can. A Worgen in human form is his preferred choice and while he does occasionally get his "puppy" on he seems more content to look just like everybody else and blend in to the background. All three of his forms share the same trait in common though. they are all cool calm and collected, but when trouble comes knocking he's more than happy to let it in so he can kick it's ass.

Stacey
Stacey is something of a Tom Boy. Born as a human to a wealthy Kirin Tor family, Stacey was brought up around magic and was coaxed to take up mage training at a very early age by an overbearing father. Although Stacey studied the magical arts and graduated at the top of her class, she never felt comfortable with the power she wielded. One fateful day, the Kirin Tor sent her on a covert mission to Gilneas where she was bitten by a rogue Worgen and subsequently contracted the curse. Stacey embraced her new Worgen form as it allowed her to "disappear" from the Kirin Tor and also the ever watchful and overbearing eye of her parents. Content to tinker in her hobby of engineering she would much rather blow something up than use arcane missiles on it. Engineering is Stacey's second love, beaten only to first place by her adoration of Fecker.

Silka
Silka is Noxi's spirit guide. While her main form is that of a huge black Dragon she also has her humanoid form, that of a female Blood Elf . Silka is fiercely protective of Noxi and it takes a lot to win her trust and friendship. Silka is fascinated by Fecker though and while she finds him endlessly irritating, she enjoys teasing and tormenting him, in fact it is her favourite past-time (much to Fecker's chagrin.) while she adores the little fellow, don't let her catch you saying so. (it would totally ruin her credibility lol)
Silka can be quick to Anger and when provoked will readily unleash hell and all of it's fury on her target. A powerful ally and a dangerous enemy.

Níca
Nica is a Tauren with a passion for herbalism, a very specific type of herbalism, namely the smokable kind. Generally laid back and chilled out is her preferred state of being. Preferring to dress in a very casual manner, it isn't often that you will see her wearing anything other than her favourite outfit, jeans and a T-shirt. Prone to occasional bouts of clumsiness and the occasional lapse of short-term memory Nica has a heart of gold and a very welcoming personality which has allowed her to make very close friends and allies on BOTH sides of the Horde/Alliance divide.
Recently though, Nica's player put her through a faction change, where she became Noxi, so now is only ever seen in flash backs. Maybe gone, but certainly never to be forgotten, this is one Tauren Shaman who has left her hoof-print in many hearts.

About the world in general
While we all know Azeroth as a place filed with monsters and a bazillion things that need to be killed on a daily basis, the reality of the world could not be further from the truth. All of the epic battles and raids are only the "Day Jobs", the divide between Horde and Alliance is non-existent. The NPC's you interact with are merely actors playing a part. Silka for example makes quite a tidy living playing the role of Sartharion, the big dragon Boss of the Obsidian Sanctum. Other occasional characters such as Stephanie (AKA Sylvanas Windrunner) are other actors who have high profile roles in the Massively Multiplayer online Stage play that we have all come to know as World of Warcraft.
All of the inhabitants are perfectly aware of this situation and it has been known to be the cause of much ribbing on occasion (like the time that Noxi convinced Silka that she should put on an over dramatic death scene in an effort to get a nomination for a "Golden Globe of Azeroth" award and against her better judgement, Silka did it, and has still not lived it down to this day.)
Of course there are additions to the world that you will never see in game, such as Wide-screen plasma televisions, the Internet and Satalite TV. After all, they have to have SOMETHING to do during their down time!
Take what you think you know, and throw it out the window as you are going to see a side of Azeroth that the developers probably never intended you to.
